So Easy My Dog Could Do It Pt 2: Reusable Swiffer Pads

This is one of my favorite tricks, because it works like a charm and it's so easy! If you have a Swiffer, or any equivalent sweeper/mop product you will never have to buy those expensive (and wasteful) pads again.

The great secret after the break!

What You'll Need:
A Swiffer or equivalent brand
The cleaning fluid - if used (I will also be making a post on how to DIY this as well)
Those fuzzy socks (pictured above): You can get these for super cheap at the Dollar Store or something like that.

How to Do it:

Simply slip the sock over the head of the Swiffer and have at it! The socks I used have a bit of an ankle. Using this style of sock (instead of the footy, no ankle style, which I didn't have) will cover the spray nozzle that lets out the cleaning liquid. However, this wasn't a problem because it just made the pad wet, instead of spraying the cleaning solution all over. Basically, it doesn't matter. If it bugs you buy the footy style sock or you could try cutting a small hole where the nozzle is (I'm not too sure if this will rip the sock though..but you have two so it's worth trying).

Pull the sock over the mop head as best as you can, it's ok if it looks like this, you will still get 100% clean floors!

Step two is to take the sock off and clean it in the washer. Voila! It comes out all nice and squeaky clean!

I found using these socks actually pick up MORE dirt - and in my case dog hair - than the regular pads! So awesome (and sustainable)!

Look at all of that dirt I can pick up! Now just toss me in the wash so I can clean more!

Happy Swiffering!
